Determine if it is a crack, chip, or an entirely broken piece. 2. Gather necessary materials: You will need epoxy adhesive, a putty knife, sandpaper (grit 120 and 220), a chisel, a hammer, a drill with a masonry bit, and a patching compound. 3. Clean the area: Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the damaged area. Remove any dust, dirt, or loose particles. 4. Apply a thin layer of epoxy to both sides of the crack using a putty knife. Press the two sides together firmly and wipe off any excess adhesive. 6. Repair chips: If there are chips in the balustrade, fill them with a patching compound. Smooth the surface with a putty knife. Let it dry completely. 7. Sand the repaired area: Once the adhesive or patching compound has dried, sand the repaired area using sandpaper with a grit of 120. This will create a smooth surface. 8. Fine sanding: Use sandpaper with a finer grit of 220 to further smoothen the repaired area and ensure it blends with the surrounding granite. 9. Clean and seal: After sanding, clean the area thoroughly to remove any dust or debris. Apply a granite sealer to protect the repaired area and enhance its appearance. Note: If the balustrade is broken into multiple pieces, it is recommended to seek professional help for proper repair and reinstallation.

Hi, i'm getting a few quotes for a kitchen work surface. I'm after India black granite 20mm thick. The work top is a long surface which stretches for 402cms with a depth of 68cms. I understand that there will need to be a join in the middle due to the length. There needs to be a cut out for sink which has a large bowl and a small bowl (so two pieces cut out so that the granite covers the thin line between them). We would like a low splashback piece of granite to run around the back and the two sides about 5cm high. The postcode is SW14 8BQ. Please could you let me know the costs. Kind regards, Peter Bull
