Dorada Urbion is a uniform sandstone of golden beige color and medium grain size in which quartz predominates. Small amounts of micas also appear, bringing tiny bright spots to the cut surface, as well as iron oxyhydroxides creating light streaks, leading to various sub-varieties. The rock is exploited at a sandstone level that appears interspersed with both clay and conglomerate materials. It is mined in its own quarry at Vilviestre del Pinar Burgos, Spain. This stone is especially good for Building stone, masonry, pavers, monuments, pool coping, sills, ornamental stone, interior, exterior and other design projects.
